sandra boynton cover story
08Oct10
When I was growing up, cartoonist Sandra Boynton’s designs dominated greeting card aisles. Now she’s the author of many of my friends’ children’s favorite books. I enjoyed discussing her creative process—and how she’s single-handedly grown her modest greeting card business into a ubiquitous brand—when I interviewed her for this American Profile cover story. She’s a quite unusual combination of dreamy artist and shrewd businesswoman, and I’m glad I got to peek behind the curtain.

Great piece, Katie! We have a bunch of Boynton books — Ellie is a big fan of the Barnyard Dance. Hope things are great. – Ken
